The outright picks made at the start of the week have all made it through to the Fourth Round at the French Open and this is when the matches really begin to increase in intensity.
While the majority of us will feel Rafael Nadal is almost a shoo-in to win the French Open, the bottom half of the men's draw looked like it would offer up some very good matches once we go to this Round and beyond. That proved to be the case through the first week of the tournament and there are four quality looking matches to come on Sunday.
The women's draw is also heating up although some of the big favourites have exited the event with Petra Kvtiova joining Elina Svitolina out of the tournament. I expect both players to bounce back at the final two Grand Slams of the season where their games are well suited to the surfaces.
We have had some surprising Grand Slam winners in the last twelve months in the women's event and the bottom half could easily end up with a surprise Finalist. The four Fourth Round matches in the bottom half of the draw in both men's and women's events will be played on Sunday.
