European Tour 6- Austrian Darts Open Day 3 Picks 2026 (Sunday 10th May)

The wide open Austrian Darts Open concludes on Sunday and the manner of the Wessel Nijman defeat is a reminder of the depth of talent on the Tour.

He has been domnating on the floor all season, but Nijman had no answers for Niko Springer who blitzed past him to set up a big Third Round match with Josh Rock.

And while I have stated that the tournament looks wide open, there are plenty of big names in action on Sunday to suggest a familiar player can come through to pick up the title at the end of the Evening Session.

As has been the case with previous tournaments, any selections from the Quarter Final matches will be added to this thread at the conclusion of the Day Session when the entire Third Round is completed,

Kevin Deots to win & most 180s v Ryan Joyce: Credit has to be given to Relentless for finding enough big scoring and his usual level at the doubles in his upset win on Saturday.

However, he was aided by a poor performance from Mike De Decker and is unlikely to have the same slackness coming out of the darts of Kevin Doets.

The Dutchman is finding some real consistency on the Tour and he should have the edge on the maximums, even if Kevin Doets has not been hitting a lot of them over this weekend. He remains someone who can find a rhythm around the treble 20 bed and Kevin Doets can do what is needed to get the better of a solid competitor.

James Wade v Luke Woodhouse: This looks to be a quality Third Round match, but the slight edge has to be with James Wade, who beat Luke Woodhouse twice on the European Tour last year.

Respect has to be given to Woodhouse for reaching the Players Championship 13 Final last week and he has moved into the top 20 of the World Rankings thanks to a consistently improving twelve months.

The scoring can be strong enough to give the best players a problem, but James Wade remains a player who will stick around and battle and make sure he is in a position to take advantage of any mistakes.

Both Seeded players had strong wins on Saturday and this is likely going to be nip and tuck.

With that in mind, James Wade's temperament may just give him the edge.

Michael van Gerwen to win & over 1.5 180s v Rob Cross: This was a Premier League match twelve months ago and that will make sure Michael van Gerwen is taking nothing for granted.

You can't really do that against a former World Champion anyway and there have been some signs that Rob Cross is picking up his form after dropping out of the top 20 in the World Rankings.

In the last few weeks, Rob Cross has had some decent floor efforts and the European Tour win on Saturday will have done him the world of good.

Another level will have to be found to beat Michael van Gerwen.

The Dutchman has looked like he is getting closer and closer to his best in the Premier League this season and his own Second Round win came through another very impressive showing.

MvG should win and he can add a couple more maximums to his two from yesterday in a victory.

Ross Smith-Martin Schindler over 5.5 180s: When these two players find their rhythm, the maximum hitting can be a joy to watch.

Both Ross Smith and Martin Schindler displayed that part of their darts in Second Round wins and there is every chance that this is a Third Round match that will need at least nine Legs to separate them.

With that much time on the oche, both are capable of contributing to this total line set for the maximums.

A blowout one way or the other would end the chances, but matches between Smith and Schindler have been competitive in recent battles and there is every expectation that will be another with a big Quarter Final berth on the line.

Quarter Finals: The opening Quarter Final looks like it could produce the winner of the tournament, but it is a tough one to call.

The next three have selections from the Austrian Darts Open as it is played to a conclusion this evening.

Rob Cross was excellent in his win over Michael van Gerwen and he can back that up against Andrew Gilding, while adding a couple of maximums.

The same can be produced by Josh Rock in what looks to be another fascinating Quarter Final against Cristo Reyes- the latter deserves so much respect for the standard produced since returning to the Tour and he will push the Premier League participant in this one.

Finally the expectation is that Martin Schindler can get the better of Daryl Gurney at an event the German clearly enjoys.

Maximum hitting has been fuelling the success over this weekend and that can be the case in this last eight clash.

European Tour 6- Austrian Darts Open Day 2 Picks 2026 (Saturday 9th May)

It is a game of inches on the board and that has been the feeling around some of the narrow slips in the first four months of the Darts Picks.

More of the same was on display on the opening Day of the Austrian Darts Open and there is a sense that I am overcomplicating matters.

There is still a long season ahead and the next couple of months are incredibly busy on the Tour before the Ranking events get underway again. Some momentum is needed to just settle things down and that has to begin on Day 2 of the European Tour 6 event being played this weekend as the Seeds get into the mix.

The Second Round is played across two Sessions on Saturday before the tournament is concluded on Sunday.

Mike De Decker to win & most 180s v Ryan Joyce: There is no ignoring of the fact that Relentless Ryan Joyce is a dangerous opponent with his finishing of the highest quality.

That does build pressure on opponents to make sure they are doubling out as they would expect, but you do have a sense that the heavier scoring of Mike De Decker can put him in a position to win this match double.

Ever since he was ignored for the Premier League last year, De Decker has struggled for consistency on the Tour.

We have seen more of that in 2026, but he remains a solid player and the maximum hitting shoud land his favour in this Second Round match.

Everything will come to the doubling and the anticipation is that Mike De Decker has enough chances to find his way through to the final day.

Ryan Searle-Kevin Doets over 5.5 180s: Two players who are very capable at hitting the big scores should be able to combine for at least six in this Second Round match.

Of course there is always a concern that one could run away from the other, but Ryan Searle looked to be rounding into some decent form earlier this week.

On the other side, Kevin Doets continues his very strong form that could see him Seeded for these European Tour events sooner than later and this looks a match that should go at least nine Legs, which will give the players enough time to surpass this total set.

Ross Smith-Niels Zonneveld both over 2.5 180s: Another big maximum potential Second Round match follows on from the Searle-Doets contest.

There is no denying the capabilities of Niels Zonneveld and Ross Smith when it comes to pounding in the big scores and it is another contest that is expected to go at least nine Legs.

Time is the biggest factor when it comes to these totals and you do need both players to be producing enough quality to make sure those Legs are played.

Chris Dobey-Kim Huybrechts both over 2.5 180s: These two players met on the European Tour in March and both players combined for seven maximums, which ended 4-3 in favour of Kim Huybrechts.

Ultimately it was Chris Dobey who progressed and this final match of the Afternoon Session has the makings of another quality contest.

Both players are looking to push up the World Rankings over the course of the year and there have been some really positive signs for both.

The edge is rightly with Chris Dobey, but Kim Huybrechts should be able to push him all the way and this could be another maximum-filled contest.

James Wade & Wessel Nijman to win: The Evening Session has a number of quality matches and there looks to be room for a couple of upsets.

However, these two players should be able to get the better of Mensur Suljovic and Niko Springer respectively, even if the crowd is firmly going to be siding with the underdog.

James Wade will respect some of the floor performances produced by Suljovic over the last week, but he has found a way to get past the Austrian in recent head to head. Experience of the style should be a huge help and James Wade has played at a consistent level that may be too much for the home favourite.

Doubling him up with Wessel Nijman who has moved into a Seeded spot and who has obliterated the competition on the floor in Players Championship events all season is the play for the Evening Session.

Wessel Nijman will have a real respect for Niko Springer and the quality the latter can throw, but the Dutchman has been in imperious form and reached the Semi Final of the last European Tour event he played. Earlier this week he added yet another Players Championship to his collection and he should have enough to find a way through to the Third Round.

MY PICKS: Mike De Decker to Win & Most 180s @ 2.50 Bet365 (1 Unit)
Ryan Searle-Kevin Doets Over 5.5 180s @ 1.72 Bet365 (1 Unit)

European Tour 6- Austrian Darts Open Day 1 Picks 2026 (Friday 8th May)

It is not a big surprise that some of the Premier League participants have decided to skip this European Tour event in a bid to remain fresh as the Premier League comes to a conclusion.

The absence of the likes of Jonny Clayton, Gerwyn Price, Luke Littler and Luke Humphries will feel like it has created an open tournament, but there are some big names in quality form taking part over the weekend.

Day 1 is an opportunity for players to put a solid win on the board before going into the Day 2 Sessions against Seeded opponents and there are plenty of First Round matches to get through over two Sessions to open this tournament on Friday.

Kevin Doets to win & most 180s v Chris Landman: These two split two matches on the Tour last year, but Kevin Doets looks to have pushed on another level.

He won a Players Championship event earlier this week after reaching a couple of Semi Finals at those floor events in the previous week, while Doets has been putting together some solid form on the European Tour as well.

Chris Landman has been a bit more streaky and deserves his respect, but the power scoring of the Dutchman should be enough to see him win this match and the maximum count on the way through to the Second Round.

Joe Cullen - 1.5 legs v Robert Owen: You cannot always be sure what you are going to get from Joe Cullen, but he may just have enough in the locker to beat Roberto Owen in this First Round match.

Some decent runs were put together at the two Players Championship events earlier this week and Joe Cullen is familiar with the European Tour setting.

Ignoring some of the wins that Robert Owen has produced over the last couple of weeks would be a huge mistake- he has beaten the likes of Beau Greaves, Josh Rock and Danny Noppert on the floor. That is a level that makes him dangerous, but The Rock Star has been in decent form of his own and has the kind of scoring that can see him push clear.

Dirk van Duijvenbode to win & most 180s v Madars Razma: A four match losing run to this opponent was ended by Dirk van Duijvenbode earlier this week on the floor at Players Championship 13.

That can be franked in this opening Round at the Austrian Darts Open having had a stronger showing at Players Championship 14.

The Dutchman should always be the bigger maximum hitter of the two, but Madars Razma is a very capable player and will need to be respected.

Recent form has not been the most positive though and that can hold back Razma and allow Dirk van Duijvenbode to bull his way into the Second Round behind the heavier scoring power.

Micahel Smith to win & most 180s v Ian White: The Bully Boy is still throwing erratic darts, but he reached the Players Championship Final a couple of weeks ago and that will have reminded Michael Smith of the obvious qualities he has.

Two losses in three matches since that run at Players Championship 11 will have slowed some of the momentum, but veteran Ian White has been in poor overall form himself.

Ian White did Qualify for this event, but that was at the start of April and he has lost eight of the last twelve matches since then.

He can be a dangerous scorer, but so can Michael Smith when he does find some rhythm and the latter is going to need that to come to the fore in his bid to make the Second Round.

MY PICKS: Kevin Doets to Win & Most 180s @ 1.61 Bet365 (1 Unit)
Joe Cullen - 1.5 Legs @ 2.00 Bet365 (1 Unit)
Dirk van Duijvenbode to Win & Most 180s @ 1.66 Bet365 (1 Unit)
Michael Smith to Win & Most 180s @ 2.20 Bet365 (1 Unit)

European Tour 4- German Darts Grand Prix Day 3 Picks 2026 (Monday 6th April)

Finals Day at the German Darts Grand Prix is played across two Sessions on Easter Monday with the Third Round completed in the afternoon.

That will set up the Quarter Final matches and the title being decided later in the Evening Session and all of the players remaining in the draw will be feeling confident about their chances. A number of Seeds have already been beaten, including the top Seed Gian van Veen, and that leaves the door wide open for someone to pick up a big European Title and hope that can put some momentum into the next quarter of the season.

Danny Noppert-Karel Sedlacek over 4.5 180s: There was not much form that Karel Sedlacek could point to before the German Darts Grand Prix began, but he has won a couple of matches here behind strong performances.

The maximum hitting has caught the eye and it will make Evil Charlie that much more dangerous.

Danny Noppert had three of his own in the win over Ritchie Edhouse in the Second Round and the two players can surpass this total line set as long as we get to nine Legs or more.

Krzysztof Ratajski-Ross Smith over 5.5 180s: This Third Round match has a slightly higher line than the first one of the afternoon, but both of these players can put together plenty of maximums when they find their rhythm at the oche.

The big danger is when there is a blowout one way or the other, but Krzysztof Ratajski and Ross Smith are playing well enough to push one another into at least nine Legs for the opportunity to progress into the Quarter Final.

They met last July and the Polish Eagle won that one for the loss of a single Leg, but in the main, contests have been competitive and that afford the players enough time to combine to surpass this maximum total.

Niko Springer v Michael Smith: The home crowd can get behind Niko Springer and ensure he does not have a let down after a strong win over Michael van Gerwen in the Second Round.

That is a win over a former World Champion still operating near his best, but this time Springer is facing another who is struggling for consistency.

Michael Smith is a fantastic player, but he has not been reaching the levels he has set previously and the two performances in this European Tour event have not been the most impressive.

Winning matters, but Smith will know he needs to improve his level if he is going to earn a spot in the Quarter Final and Niko Springer can be backed to find a way to end his run.

Nathan Aspinall to win & over 2.5 180s v Martin Schindler: The German Number 1 did enough to win his Second Round match against Brendan Dolan, but it was far from the best performance produced by Martin Schindler.

He should be better in this Third Round match, but will need to be if he is going to test Nathan Apsinall.

The latter has already beaten one home favourite and so will not be overawed by the occasion, although Nathan Aspinall will know he needs to tidy up one or two aspects of his darts if he is going to win another European Title.

Scoring has not been too much of an issue for Aspinall and he can put together enough big scores to have the chances to win this match.

Danny Noppert-Jonny Clayton over 5.5 180s: Both looked in good form in the afternoon Third Round wins today and the only disappointment for Danny Noppert and Jonny Clayton is running into the other in the Quarter Final.

The winner is going to be tough to stop when it comes to picking up the European Tour Title this weekend and this should be a quality contest.

The last two matches against one another in 2025 were both played in front of crowds and both Noppert and Clayton produced excellent outings.

It was Jonny Clayton who edged to the wins and he has won five in a row against Danny Noppert, but both had considerable success hitting the maximums and it may be more of the same in the Quarter Final here in Germany.

Krzysztof Ratajski over 1.5 180s v Michael Smith: A fast start helped Michael Smith to upset the odds in the Third Round, but he only just made it over the line considering the early lead built up.

He is going to be dangerous with momentum, but Krzysztof Ratajski continued to hit the big scores in his own Third Round win and is rightly set as the favourite.

The maximum hitting has caught the eye so far this weekend and Ratajski should be able to land at least two in this Quarter Final, even if he is not able to quite beat Bully Boy again.

Nathan Aspinall to win & most 180s v Andrew Gilding: The steady, quality play of Andrew Gilding always makes him dangerous and especially with a few wins under the belt to give him momentum.

His crushing win over William O'Connor impressed, but Nathan Aspinall has looked in very good touch over the last couple of matches.

The pressure of having to face home players has not affected The Asp, which is to his credit, and this time he can perhaps play without the crowd playing a part in the contest.

Nathan Aspinall continues to pile in big scores, but will need to tidy up his doubling if he is going to win this title, especially with a very difficult Semi Final opponent to come regardless of who wins the third Quarter Final on the night.

MY PICKS: Danny Noppert-Karel Sedlacek Over 4.5 180s @ 1.80 Bet365 (1 Unit)
Krzysztof Ratajski-Ross Smith Over 5.5 180s @ 1.91 Sky Bet (1 Unit)
Niko Springer @ 1.80 Sky Bet (1 Unit)

European Tour 4- German Darts Grand Prix Day 1 Picks 2026 (Saturday 4th April)

The European Tour events are usually played from Friday through Sunday, but the German Darts Grand Prix takes place across Easter Weekend and that allows the organisers to use a Saturday through Monday schedule.

Some of the big Premier League names are missing this weekend- the top two are both absent and so is Gerwyn Price, but that doesn't lessen the importance of the event nor the motivation for those competing to pick up a big title.

It all begins with sixteen First Round matches played across two Sessions on Saturday before the top Seeds join the party on Sunday in Second Round action.

Sebastian Bialecki v William O'Connor: There is nothing outstanding about Sebastian Bialecki, but he is a player that is pretty consistent and that can be difficult to shake off.

He reached the Third Round at a European Tour event last month and Sebastian Bialecki put up plenty of wins across two Players Championship events held earlier this week.

The latter of those saw Bialecki reach the Semi Final and there will be some confidence within that he can keep the run going through the opening Round in Germany.

William O'Connor is over twenty places higher in the World Rankings and that may be a contributory factor to the prices for this First Round match.

However, O'Connor has been beaten in eleven of the last fifteen matches played and that includes early defeats in the last couple of European Tour events he has entered.

At his best, William O'Connor can be tough to beat, but he has not always been at his best over the last six weeks and Sebastian Bialecki is steady enough to take advantage if the Irishman is not at a normal level.

Niels Zonneveld to win & most 180s v Adam Lipscombe: Back to back strong performances at European Tour events suggests Niels Zonneveld is playing much higher than his current World Ranking.

The Darts Rankings do take some time to adjust into what we are seeing on a week to week bases and Zonneveld is a player making a move.

Early losses in the Players Championship events will not have dented the confidence too much considering the level produced and Niels Zonneveld should have enough to beat Adam Lipscombe.

The World Number 71 has won the most recent meeting between the two and Adam Lipscombe will feel he was hard done by when the draws were made for the Players Championship. He had a win on Monday and Tuesday, but was beaten in Second Round matches against Wessel Nijman and Andrew Gilding.

Niels Zonneveld may feel he is playing at the kind of level that has gotten the better of Lipscombe in recent matches and his power scoring can make the difference in this First Round match.

Niels Zonneveld to Win & Most 180s @ 1.61 Bet365 (1 Unit)

European Tour 3- Belgium Darts Open Day 1 Picks 2026 (Friday 20th March)

A remarkable night in Dublin ended with Luke Littler closing the gap on Jonny Clayton in the Premier League standings, but Gerwyn Price and Michael van Gerwen will both be wondering how they failed to beat the World Number 1.

Once again, it is a reminder that Littler feels like he is clear of the rest of the Tour and that the mental pressure of facing him is beginning to ramp up, much as it did in the past when players moved into position to beat the likes of Phil Taylor and van Gerwen.

Missing darts built up the sense of dread that the top player on the Tour would punish them and Luke Littler has done that enough in his relatively short time as a professional to have built that aura around him.

He will be playing at European Tour 3 this weekend and the Belgium Darts Open features the majority of the top names, although Price, Gian van Veen and Gary Anderson have withdrawn.

It is a big event for players looking to build up some confidence or build on the momentum that has been picked up ahead of the next set of Players Championship tournaments later in the month.

These European Tour events are the big titles to be won over the coming weeks and months until the World Cup of Darts is played on the same weekend as the Football World Cup begins. In that time there are plenty of Players Championship events to be played as well alongside the Premier League and it remains a busy time for the players and fans of the sport.

Last weekend was a difficult one for the Darts Picks at European Tour 2, but this is an opportunity to bounce back.

Day 1 features the entirety of the First Round being played across two Sessions, while the top Seeds join the party on Saturday with the Second Round split over two Sessions.

The selections from Night 7 at the Premier League at least got things moving back in a positive direction, but it is important to build on that in the Belgium Darts Open to keep things ticking over.

Ricky Evans to win & over 1.5 180s v Scott Williams: At his best, Scott Williams can be a very dangerous player, but the price has shortened on Ricky Evans to come through this good looking First Round match.

Both have been putting together inconsistent results over the last few weeks, but there has perhaps been one or two more flashes from Rapid Ricky.

He will need his scoring and Evans has always been a decent maximum hitter, but it is doubles that win matches and that cost him last weekend in the loss to Danny Noppert.

Scott Williams has lost four of his last five matches and has just been having his issues of late, but he did earn his spot in Belgium through the Qualifiers and beat some solid competition in his run.

So did Ricky Evans though and his numbers have been a little stronger to believe he can edge to the win with a couple of maximums thrown in too.

Dave Chisnall to win & over 1.5 180s v Thibault Tricole: The form over the last several months has been disappointing as far as Dave Chisnall is concerned, but he can find a way to get past an improving Thibault Tricole.

One of his wins to earn a Qualifying spot at the Belgium Darts Open was against Ricky Evans and he had a very strong run at Players Championship 6 when reaching the Semi Final.

That means Thibault Tricole has to be respected, but Dave Chisnall has beaten him once this season and usually enjoys taking part in these European Tour events.

There is a pressure on Chizzy to find some wins to avoid dropping too far in the World Rankings and having to eventually take part in the cutthroat business of Qualifying, but there is still some good darts being played.

Doing it for long enough, even in this short format, has been the problem for Dave Chisnall, but he may just have enough here to edge past a quality First Round opponent.

Scoring is going to be key and Chisnall can put together a couple of maximums during a match that should last at least nine Legs.

MY PICKS: Ricky Evans to Win & Over 1.5 180s @ 2.05 Bet365 (1 Unit)
Dave Chisnall to Win & Over 1.5 180s @ 2.15 Bet365 (1 Unit)

European Tour 1- Poland Open Darts Day 3 Picks 2026 (Sunday 22nd February)

There were upsets on Day 2 as the top players on the Tour competed at the Polish Open Darts for the first time and the first European Tour event of the 2026 season will come to a close on Sunday.

Despite one or two players being dumped out unexpectedly, most of the leading contenders have fought through and the Third Round is set to be played in the Day Session.

Any selections from the Quarter Final matches, or any Outright Picks, will be added after the Round is completed around 4pm.

UPDATE: The Quarter Final lineup has been put together, but it has been a strong tournament for the Darts Picks from the first European Tour of the season.

Selections have been added for the Evening Session with the World Number 1 the feature.

Luke Littler to win & over 3.5 180s v Ross Smith: He won the World Masters, but Luke Littler has perhaps been lacking some motivation over the last couple of weeks having withdrawn from the opening Players Championship events.

The early form in the Premier League has been underwhelming, but Luke Littler is keen on becoming the first Champion of this European Tour event.

The performance in the win over Mike De Dekker was really impressive and Littler will know that he will need to keep that level up if he is going to get past Ross Smith and other players in the draw to take home the title at the end of the evening.

Matching the Smith scoring power is always key and Luke Littler can do that, although he will be aware that Ross Smith has had a solid week on the circuit.

Ross Smith was a comfortable winner in the Second Round, but he may struggle to deal with the overall strength of the Littler game and both should produce plenty of maximum hitting.

Jonny Clayton & Michael Smith over 2.5 180s: These two veteran players of the Tour met four times in 2025 and Jonny Clayton won three of those.

With that said and factoring in recent form, you can understand why Jonny Clayton is favoured to beat Michael Smith.

Both were playing well in the Second Round on Saturday and dishing out plenty of maximum hitting, although it can be tough to replicate that kind of level.

There is less to be concerned about when it comes to Clayton considering the overall form he has been producing throughout 2026, but Michael Smith is a lot more inconsistent these days.

His maximum power helped him past Joe Cullen, and Michael Smith did win six matches in European Tour 3 and European Tour 4 Qualifying before heading over to Krakow. That will have given Bully Boy confidence and this is a Third Round match that is expected to need at least nine Legs played, which will give both players a chance to hit at least three maximums.

Luke Littler to win & most 180s v Josh Rock: You have to like the way Josh Rock has been playing this weekend, but he has struggled at the Premier League level.

This is the kind of match up he has been struggling with and Luke Littler looks to be in very motivated form after crushing Ross Smith in the Third Round.

He had far too much for Rock at the World Masters and Littler's power scoring did for Ross Smith earlier in the day.

Luke Humphries to win & over 2.5 180s: He may not have been very happy with the crowd on Saturday, but Luke Humphries managed to get past the home favourite and has comfortably made his way into the Poland Open Quarter Final.

He faces Premier League rival Stephen Bunting in this Round and Luke Humphries has already gotten the better of him on the floor this season.

Last year Luke Humphries won three of the four Premier League games against Bunting and he managed three maximums in the win over Boris Krcmar.

He can match that in another winning effort to make it through to the Semi Final.

MY PICKS: Luke Littler to Win & Over 3.5 180s @ 1.80 Bet365 (1 Unit)

European Tour 1- Poland Darts Open Day 2 Picks 2026 (Saturday 21st February)

The first European Tour event of the 2026 began with an excited crowd on Friday as the First Round in Poland was completed, but the atmosphere should be even better on Saturday when some of the very best players on the Tour join the party.

Some quality matches have been set out ahead of the final day and the opening selections returned a slight profit.

Backing that up is the key across the two sessions set for Saturday with eight Second Round matches in the best of eleven format to be completed in both.

Nathan Aspinall to win & most 180s v Darryl Pilgrim: The early performances at the Players Championship have been solid enough for Nathan Aspinall, but he would have wanted at least one deeper run this past week.

He remains one of the big maximum hitters on the Tour and Nathan Aspinall is looking to put together a year that does earn him a return to the Premier League.

The likelihood is that the scoring power is going to be key for Aspinall against Darryl Pilgrim who upset Dave Chisnall, as well as one of the selections made on these pages on Friday.

However, that was not exactly a strong performance from Pilgrim and he is going to have to find a higher level, while also unlikely to be afforded as many chances as Chisnall allowed him to have in the First Round.

You have to expect Nathan Aspinall to have the majority of maximums in the match and that should set him up for a place in the Third Round.

Wessel Nijman v Gary Anderson: It has been made clear over the first seven weeks of the 2026 season that Gary Anderson is one of the favoured players, but he may struggle to contain Wessel Nijman.

Big hitting gives Anderson a chance to win any match he plays, but a couple of Third Round losses at the opening two Players Championship tournaments have continued an inconsistent start to the season.

He is well rested having skipped the two Players Championship tournaments played earlier this week, but that may leave Gary Anderson a little short against an extremely confident player.

Wessel Nijman was far from at his best in the First Round win here in Poland, but he has been putting together plenty of wins on the floor.

The numbers are impressive and it is Nijman who can be backed just ahead of Connor Scutt and Daryl Gurney as the strongest looking underdog to be able to make it through to the next day.

Jonny Clayton to win & over 2.5 180s v Adam Gawlas: The underdog came through the First Round with a solid win, but this is a step up in level if Jonny Clayton gets near to the form he has been producing in the Premier League.

The Night 3 Winner has admitted how much he enjoys playing in that Premier League tournament, but he is also keen to impress on the European Tour.

Jonny Clayton is finishing well enough and has been producing some very high scoring and that may give him the edge in this one.

The World Number 5 has not played Adam Gawlas in a few years, but he will have noted the maximum hitting that the latter produced on Friday. Jonny Clayton will have to match that in any winning effort, but he has been pounding the treble 20 bed with real regularity and can hit at least three on his way through to the Third Round.

Joe Cullen v Michael Smith: The withdrawal of Gerwyn Price allowed Michael Smith to not only travel to Krakow, but to take the Welshman's place in the Second Round.

Bully Boy lost a Qualifier to Micky Mansell that really upset him earlier this month, but he has earned six wins this week that has earned Smith places in European Tour 3 and 4 events to be played.

Those will have given him confidence, but Michael Smith has to be aware that Joe Cullen looks to be rounding into real form after some underwhelming months on the Tour.

A strong First Round win has to have given Cullen a boost, while he has also gotten the better of Michael Smith in a Players Championship meeting.

Both played well on that day, but the money has been coming in on Joe Cullen who has now become the favourite, which looks about right.

Luke Humphries to win & over 2.5 180s v Krzysztof Ratajski: The fans are going to be loud and boisterous for this Second Round match as the home favourite takes on the World Number 2.

However, Krzysztof Ratajski is going to need Luke Humphries to have an off day if he is going to earn the upset.

The Polish Number 1 has lost the last seven matches against Luke Humphries and has struggled to match the scoring power that the latter can produce. That has led to some one-sided wins for Humphries, including two last year on the Tour, and the challenge is all the greater for Ratajski when you consider how well Luke Humphries has been playing of late.

His results have not reflected that in the Premier League, but only three dates have been played, while Luke Humphries won a Players Championship earlier this week.

The scoring has been there and Luke Humphries should have too much for Krzysztof Ratajski even if the home crowd can inspire the underdog to push this one closer than some of the recent matches against the World Number 2 have played out.
